Driver of Alhassan Yabdoo, the District Chief Executive of Karaga was shot dead in the DCE’s vehicle, late Friday night.
He was found dead with several gunshot wounds by local residents at Yamo, a Community in the Karaga District of the Northern Region.
The driver, Ziblim Issah met his untimely death on his way from Tamale to Karaga when unknown gunmen attacked him at the Yamo Community.
The locals who rushed to the scene, according to police report saw the helpless body with several gun shots.
His remains were then conveyed by the police to the Tamale Teaching Hospital morgue for autopsy.
The deceased left behind two wives and five children.
