Police makes huge narcotics bust
Four men have been arrested by the Ashaiman Divisional Police Command for unlawfully possessing narcotic plants.
They were arrested on June 4th, 2021 upon intelligence by the command and sent to the Divisional Headquarters.
The suspects, Boniface Abaya, 31, Kwame Akwetey, 31, Samuel Djandu, 30, and
Godwin Agbesi , a 29 year old driver were busted with 892 slabs of plant material suspected to be narcotic drug being conveyed in a Benz Bus with registration number GR 2913-G.
According to the police in a statement, ” Actionable intelligence led to the arrest of the suppliers who use Carl’s hotel located at Bethlehem- Ashaiman as a transit point to distribute the plant material to other suppliers.”
The police added that, ” Exhibits retained and suspects detained for further investigations.”
