Bawumia donates 1000 bags of cement, cash to Asokore Zongo
On Friday, 10th September 2021, a presentation of 1,100 bags of cement and ₵21,000 was made to the leadership of the Asokore Zongo community.
The donation was made in fulfilment of the vice president, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia’s promise made some weeks ago when he honoured the final funeral rites of Hajia Zeinabu Sallow’s late mother.
The presentation was done on behalf of the vice president by the Ashanti regional minister, Hon. Simon Osei-Mensah and the Ashanti regional treasurer for the ruling NPP, Hajia Zeinabu Sallow to aid the cause of the ongoing Asokore Zongo Central Mosque project.
Also present at the presentation were Member of Parliament for Effiduase Asokore constituency, Hon. Nana Ayew Afriyie, the DCE, Hon. Mary Boatemaa Marfo, Chairman Osei Adiyiah, constituency executives and many other residents of the community.
The traditional chiefs, zongo chiefs, Imams and residents of the area who were present received the donation with excitement and prayed for the vice president, the regional minister, their own daughter, Hajia Zeinabu and everyone who contributed to the fulfilment of the promise.
The Minister for Communications and Digitalisation Mrs. Ursula Owusu Ekuful has urged the Ghana Post to maximize the use of existing infrastructure to position the company as the front runner in the industry.
The legislature made this call on her visit to some rehabilitated post offices in the Central Region.
The E-transform project under the MoCD financed by the World Bank is rehabilitating 25 selected Post offices to provide e-Services.

Under the project, 50 Post Offices will be equipped with IT and office equipment for an efficient and effective discharge of duties.
Mrs. Ekuful interacting with Managers and staff of the Ghana Post at the Adisadel Branch tasked them to brainstorm in-house and leverage their brand as the unique selling proposition and capture the evolving market.
The Minister visited the Senya, Swedru, UCC, and the Adisadel offices of the Ghana Post
E-Service
e-services is the new strategic direction of Ghana Post aimed at turning the post office into a one-stop shop for government services at the community level.
Some of the e-services products include the sale of forms, results checkers, online applications, requests for transcripts and business services.
Ernestina Gyabea and Priscilla Agyapong qualified at the audition of Atinka TV’s flagship reality show, GTBank Di Asa season Five which was held at Berekum in the Bono Region on Wednesday, September 8, 2021.
The two surpassed their contenders with their dance skills, weight and the audience appeal.
They received packages from all the sponsors of the show.
Ernestina Gyabea and Priscilla Agyapong will represent the Bono Region in the main Dii Asa season five competition in Accra after all auditions are done across the country.
The GT Bank Di Asa Season five will award the ultimate winner with a brand new salon car.
