GBANGBAPON CHIEF CRIES OVER ABANDONED NEWLY CONSTRUCTED POLICE STATION.

Residents of Gbangbapon, a community in the Saboba District of the Northern Region have for the past 5 years living in fear due to lack of police presence in the community.

Speaking to Sankara Radio, the chief of the community, Ubor Gnalimo Aqua Peter ll stated that the community is closer to Togo and their security is at risk due to some series of terrorist attacks in and around the neighboring countries.

He noted, the police station which was constructed in 2018/2019 is yet to be commissioned for use.

On his part, the Assemblyman for Gbangbapon electoral area, Hon. Ponada Poagnaba Abrahm disclosed that the DCE for the area told him the police facility did not come with accommodation hence making it difficult for personnel to be posted.

He added that the DCE requested to getting a temporal accommodation for the personnel yet nothing has been done to that effect.

All effort to get the DCE for Saboba District, George Bingrini to speak on the matter has proven futile.
