Employment Minister, NDC MP involved in accident

The Minister of Employment and Labour Relations, Ignatius Baffour Awuah and the Member of Parliament (MP) for South Dayi, Rockson Dafeamekpor escaped death on Saturday after their vehicles got involved in separate road accidents.

According to reports , the Employment Minister’s vehicle rammed into a tipper truck on Saturday on the Fiapre- Dumasua road in the Bono Region.

Mr Baffour-Awuah was returning from a funeral at Odumase when the incident occurred.

Reports indicate that the minister and two other occupants of the vehicle were rushed to the Bono Regional Hospital in Sunyani for treatment. No casualties had been confirmed as at press time .

In another development, Mr Rockson Dafeamekpor also escaped unhurt after his vehicle was run into by a tipper truck load with blocks on Saturday on the Aveyime road in the Volta Region

The NDC MP some of his colleagues were returning to Accra after attending the funeral of the father of Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa in the region. No casualties were recorded
