The people of Begoro in the Eastern Region have criticised the Fire Service personnel in the area immensely for arriving late at the scene of a burning makeshift structure.
The officers numbering about six arrived in a taxi and a commercial motorcycle known locally as ‘Okada’ wielding fire extinguishers. According to them, there were no fire tenders at the station.
Upon their arrival, members of the community had battled the inferno to the barest minimum after which they used their extinguishers to kill the remaining flames.
